Captain's Grille Allergy-Friendly Dinner Menu - Disney's Yacht Club Resort

Yesterday, I stopped by the Captain's Grille at Disney's Yacht Club Resort to see their new allergy-friendly menus, which list options for people with gluten/wheat, milk, egg, soy, peanut/tree nut, and fish/shellfish allergies.

The Captain's Grille is a table service restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  You can view their allergy-friendly menus for breakfast and lunch in my breakfast and lunch reviews.

The Captain's Grille allergy-friendly dinner menu lists the following gluten free appetizers:

  • Wedged romaine salad with garlic-peppercorn cream, bacon lardons, confit tomatoes, and blue cheese
  • Seared scallops with cauliflower puree, golden raisins, and tree nut vinaigrette

Gluten free entrees:

  • Market fish with seasonal accompaniments
  • Snow crab legs with new potatoes and corn on the cob
  • New York strip with creme fraiche whipped potatoes, roasted mushrooms, oven-cured tomatoes, and cabernet reduction
  • Cabernet-braised short rib with corn risotto, pan jus reduction, and corn cream
  • Rosemary-brined pork tenderloin with braised pork belly, white bean puree, cherry gastrique, ham jus, and braised brussel sprouts
  • Pan-seared chicken with brown butter potatoes, vegetables, lemon beurre blanc, and olives

Gluten free desserts:
  • Angel food cake - berry compote and shortbread croutons with white chocolate panna cotta (a no sugar added dessert)
  • House-made chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla gelato

The allergy-friendly kids' dinner menu lists the following gluten free options:

  • Appetizers - fruit cup
  • Mickey Check Meals - served with choice of small lowfat milk or small Dasani water, and a frozen yogurt and berry push-pop for dessert
    • Baked fish served with brown rice, corn, carrots, and green beans
    • Grilled chicken strips served with brown rice, corn, carrots, and green beans
    • Grilled shrimp skewer served with brown rice, corn, carrots, and green beans
  • Grilled Beef Kabobs
  • French fries
  • Desserts - ice cream sundae, frozen yogurt & berry push-pop

If you see something on the menu that you would like to try, but it is not listed as a gluten/wheat friendly option, be sure to talk to a chef, because they might be able to modify the dish for you to make it gluten free.

I hope to dine at the Captain's Grille for dinner soon, because the cabernet-braised short rib sounds amazing, and there are several other gluten free entrees that I would love to try.  Update - you can read my dinner review of the Captain's Grille here.

You can read more about the Captain's Grille, and make advance dining reservations on Disney's website here.

What are your favorite gluten free options for dinner at the Captain's Grille?
