Nomad Lounge - Disney's Animal Kingdom

During our trip to Disney World in July, we had lunch at Nomad Lounge in Disney's Animal Kingdom both days we visited the park.

Nomad Lounge serves small plates and drinks from around the world. It is located next to Tiffins, right outside of Pandora. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and you don't need to worry about advance dining reservations, because Nomad Lounge only accepts walk-ins. We like to arrive at Nomad Lounge right before they open at 11:30, but on both days we visited Disney's Animal Kingdom, they opened at 11:00.

Frontera Cocina - Disney Springs

During our trip to Disney World in July, we had dinner at Frontera Cocina, one of our favorite table service restaurants at Disney Springs.

Frontera Cocina is not Disney-owned and operated, but it is one of the most gluten free friendly restaurants at Disney World. All major allergens are noted on their menu, which you can view on Frontera Cocina's website here.

Morimoto Asia - Disney Springs

During our trip to Disney World in July, we had dinner at Morimoto Asia, a table service restaurant in Disney Springs.

We have dined at Morimoto Asia many times since it opened in The Landing area of Disney Springs in 2015. Like the restaurants in the Italy Pavilion at Epcot, and The Edison, Maria & Enzo's and Enzo's Hideaway at Disney Springs, Morimoto Asia is run by the Patina Group, which does a great job accommodating its gluten free customers.

Backlot Express - Disney's Hollywood Studios

On the last day of our trip to Disney World earlier this month, we had lunch at Backlot Express, a quick service restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I mobile ordered our meal in the My Disney Experience app. If you do not see allergy-friendly options listed, click on "See All Categories" or keep scrolling to check for allergy-friendly choices. You can not mobile order if you have more than one food restriction, and not all quick service restaurants at Disney World have allergy-friendly options available for mobile order in the app. In the theme parks, you should be able to mobile order gluten free options at most quick service restaurants, but at the resorts, plan on talking to a manager or a chef. Talking to a manager is always an option at the theme parks. Just speak to the cast member guarding the door, and yes, cast members are literally guarding the doors to quick service restaurants during the pandemic. They want to make sure people do not enter restaurants until their food is ready, but I was allowed to enter restaurants when I needed to speak to a manager or chef before placing my order.

On our recent trip to Disney World, we had dinner at The Wave...of American Flavors, a table service restaurant at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Topolino's Terrace - Disney's Riviera Resort

On our recent trip to Disney World, we had dinner at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, a signature dining restaurant located on the top floor of Disney's Riviera Resort.

According to Disney's website, the restaurant, "takes its name from the Italian name for Mickey Mouse." We originally booked Topolino's for both breakfast and dinner on our first full day staying at Disney's Riviera Resort, but we ended up canceling our breakfast reservation, because the menu did not look that interesting to me, and it is currently the priciest breakfast on property, because it is still a character meal.

Primo Piatto - Disney's Riviera Resort

On our recent trip to Disney World, we stayed at Disney's Riviera Resort for six nights before moving to Disney's BoardWalk Villas for the second week of our vacation.

It was pretty late by the time our flight landed, so we decided to dine at our resort instead of visiting Disney Springs. While we were driving to Disney World, I mobile ordered dinner for my family from Primo Piatto, a quick service restaurant at Disney's Riviera Resort. Allergy-friendly options were not listed in the My Disney Experience app, so I asked to speak to a chef when we arrived at the restaurant.

Gluten Free Beignets at Scat Cat's Club Cafe

Over Thanksgiving Break, we set a family record for the number of times we visited Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter in one week.

The last few months we lived in Orlando, our Saturday morning tradition was to stop at Port Orleans - French Quarter to eat gluten free beignets with dipping sauces for breakfast, before heading to a Disney theme park. We had been eating gluten free beignets at Disney World about once a month for years, but once the dipping sauces were introduced, we wanted to have beignets for breakfast every week.

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe - Epcot

Over Thanksgiving Break, we stopped at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot to check out their newest gluten free dessert option.

Even though we had advance dining reservations at Coral Reef in an hour, this was our last day at Epcot, and I wanted to try the chocolate cake with banana mousse.

Last updated February 17, 2020

In late July, my daughters and I had dinner at Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood, a new table service restaurant on the top floor of Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.

We were joined by Heather Wilkinson and Heather Burczynski with Middle of the Magic Travel. It was great to finally meet them in person. Heather and Heather share my love of everything Disney, and they both eat gluten free.

Columbia Harbour House - Disney's Magic Kingdom

In July, my daughters and I had lunch at Columbia Harbour House, one of our favorite quick service restaurants at Disney's Magic Kingdom.

I love that I can mobile order my food in the My Disney Experience app, and skip the long lines at the restaurant.

This summer, we had lunch at Nomad Lounge  in Disney's Animal Kingdom four times during our trips to Disney World in June and July.

Jaleo by Jose Andres - Disney Springs

In July, my daughters and I had lunch at Jaleo, a relatively new restaurant in Disney Springs featuring Spanish cuisine.

We did not make advance dining reservations like we usually do for table service restaurants, because it was a spur of the moment decision to leave Hollywood Studios, and head to Disney Springs for lunch. We were the first table seated, and the restaurant did not get too crowded while we dined, so you probably don't need a reservation if you want to dine at Jaleo for lunch.

Tiffins - Disney's Animal Kingdom

In July, my daughters and I had lunch at Tiffins, a signature dining restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Tiffins, which features international cuisine, is located right outside the entrance to Pandora - The World of Avatar.

When we visit Disney's Animal Kingdom, we usually dine at Nomad Lounge, because we love their small plates, drinks, and gluten free churros.

Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar - Disney Springs

Last week and over Thanksgiving Break, my family visited Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs.

The restaurant, which is described on Disney's website as a "1940s airplane hangar turned dive bar," is themed around Jock Lindsey, Indiana Jones' pilot in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
