Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar - Epcot

Earlier this month, we dined at Tutto Wine Cellar in the Italy Pavilion at Epcot.

Tutto Gusto has long been one of my gluten-eating family's favorite restaurants at Epcot, and we frequently dine there, especially when we are at Disney World with my parents. Tutto Gusto does not accept advance dining reservations, but we have never had to wait long for a table, and usually, we are able to be seated right away.

Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory - Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter

For my family, no trip to Disney World is complete without at least two visits to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter for gluten free beignets with dipping sauces. Our last few months in Orlando, before we moved to California, we were having beignets for breakfast every Saturday, because the dipping sauces had been introduced, which take Sassagoula's beignets to the next level.

So you might be wondering what a beignet is and how it is pronounced.  A beignet (bin-yay) is deep fried dough covered in powdered sugar.  Beignets are popular in New Orleans, and are traditionally prepared to order, so they can be eaten hot, right out of the fryer.

Maple Popcorn - Canada Pavilion at Epcot

We don't snack much between meals when we are at Disney World, but I had to try the maple popcorn at the Canada Pavilion in Epcot on our recent trip.

Maple popcorn was introduced at Disney World early last year in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom. Sadly, it is no longer available there, but at least I can still enjoy it at Epcot.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill - Disney's Wilderness Lodge

The first seven nights of our trip to Disney World in July, we stayed at Copper Creek, our new Disney Vacation Club home resort at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

This was our first stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, which has long been one of my favorite resorts at Disney World. We have always loved the theming of the resort, which was inspired by National Park lodges from the turn of the century. It is a beautiful place to walk around, and you really feel like you are in the Pacific Northwest. There are great dining options at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, including Artist Point, Whispering Canyon Cafe (can we say gluten free corn bread!), Geyser Point Bar & Grill, Roaring Fork, and Territory Lounge, which is the only restaurant at Wilderness Lodge that we have not dined at yet.

STK Orlando - Disney Springs

This post was updated December 9, 2018

During our recent trip to Disney World, we had dinner with friends at STK Orlando, a signature dining restaurant in Disney Springs.

My friend Debbie from FinnFamilyGlutenFreeFun has been raving about STK since she first dined there, and it has become her favorite restaurant at Disney World. We dined at twenty-five restaurants during our nine day trip, and my entire family agrees that it was one of our top three meals.

Columbia Harbour House - Magic Kingdom

Earlier today, we stopped at Columbia Harbour House, a quick service restaurant in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom, to check out their new allergy-friendly chicken tenders.

Columbia Harbour House has long been my favorite restaurant for allergy-friendly chicken tenders at Disney World, and it is featured in My Disney Top 10 - Quick Service post.  We dined there so often in the first year or two we lived in Orlando, that the managers started to recognize me when we came in.  They used to bake the chicken tenders and fries, which took about 20 minutes, but now they have a dedicated fryer, so allergy orders that are fried don't take that long to prepare.

Nomad Lounge - Disney's Animal Kingdom

Three times during our July trip to Disney World, we had lunch at Nomad Lounge in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Nomad Lounge, which does not accept advance dining reservations, serves small plates and drinks from around the world. It is located next to Tiffins, right outside of Pandora.

Gluten Free in Bologna and Venice

After spending 7 nights in Rome, and 5 nights in Florence, we headed to Venice, with a quick stop in Bologna for lunch and some sightseeing.

In Bologna, we had lunch at Fiordaliso, a 100% gluten free restaurant, pizzeria, coffee bar, and confectionery. I posted all menu photos from Fiordaliso in my Facebook group Gluten Free Italy.

Gluten Free in Tuscany - Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and Pisa

During our trip to Italy in June, we stayed in Rome, Florence, and Venice. Our Airbnb in Florence was located in the heart of the city, and had this amazing view of the Duomo from its rooftop terrace.

After dropping off our bags, we headed to Starbene Gold Gluten Free, which was about a 10 minute walk from our Airbnb.  Starbene has almost 20 locations in Italy, which you can view on their website.
