Snacks with Character at Walt Disney World

Yesterday, I stopped at Mouse Gear in Epcot to check out the new gluten free Snacks with Character.

This is the first time I have ever seen certified gluten free treats with Disney characters on the packaging.

The lemon burst and chocolate chip cookies are made by WOW Baking Company.  They are made in a dedicated gluten free facility, and are certified gluten free.

The chocolate chip cookies contain milk, eggs, and soy, and may contain traces of nuts.  The lemon burst cookies contain milk and eggs, and are manufactured on shared equipment processing peanuts and tree nuts.  You can view a full list of ingredients for both cookies on WOW's website here.

Mouse Gear also carries four Snacks with Character made by Enjoy Life Foods.

The Ricemilk Choco Bars and the Dark Chocolate Bars are free of the top 8 major food allergens, and are certified gluten free and non-GMO.  The Ricemilk Choco Bars contain dried cane syrup, cocoa butter, unsweetened chocolate, rice milk (rice syrup powder, rice starch, rice flour), and salt.

The Dark Chocolate Bars contain unsweetened chocolate, dried cane syrup, and cocoa butter.

Mouse Gear also has Chocolate Sunseed Bars, which appear to be Enjoy Life Chocolate SunButter Decadent Bars, though the ingredients on Enjoy Life's website are slightly different than the ingredients listed on the package below.

The final Snacks with Character I found from Enjoy Life was a Mountain Mambo Seed & Fruit Mix with sunflower kernels, pumpkin seeds, raisins, apples, chocolate chips, and cranberries.

Here is a picture of the ingredients list:

All four of these products clearly show that they are produced by Enjoy Life Foods on the back of the packaging.

I am so excited to see that Disney is partnering with WOW Baking Company and Enjoy Life Foods to bring people with special diets these Snacks with Character.  We have enjoyed all the WOW cookies we have tried in the past, and my daughters love Enjoy Life chocolate bars.  I look forward to trying the Chocolate Sunseed Bar the next time we go to Disney World.  If these products are available in Mouse Gear at Epcot, I would assume that they can be found in other large gift shops in the theme parks and Downtown Disney.

September 11, 2015 Update

Earlier today, I saw Snacks with Character at the World of Disney store in Disney Springs.  They had all the same products that are available at Mouse Gear in Epcot.  The Disney Food Blog is reporting that the new line of allergy friendly snacks will also include Enjoy Life chocolate chip and sugar crisp crunchy cookies.  In one of the Disney groups I follow on Facebook, I also saw a picture of Snacks with Character cinnamon bun bars by Enjoy Life.

September 23, 2015 Update

Earlier today, I stopped at the World of Disney store in Disney Springs.  They have moved their display of Snacks with Character, and they had some new items.

The sweet chili and the sweet potato tortilla chips are made by Way Better Snacks.  They are gluten free, vegan, and non-GMO.  They have an allergen warning that they are made in a facility that uses milk and soy.

The World of Disney Store also has Enjoy Life cinnamon bun bars.

In Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney, Snacks with Character can also be found at Goofy's Candy Co. and Mickey's Pantry.

October 20, 2015 Update

Disney finally broke its silence about the new Snacks with Character yesterday on the Disney Parks Blog.

The line launched with 11 items, 9 of which are currently available at the theme parks and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.  I have still not seen the Enjoy Life chocolate chip and sugar crisp crunchy cookies, though they are appearing on signs in merchandise locations as costing $2.59.  Snack options from Ocean Spray will start appearing at Disney parks later this year.  A cranberry mix that costs $4.59 is already listed on Disney signage.  You can use Disney Dining Plan snack credits to purchase the crunchy cookies, chips, snack bars, seed & fruit mix, and the cranberry mix.  At the Magic Kingdom, I recently saw Snacks with Character at the Emporium, Main Street Confectionary, and at Liberty Square Market.  At Hollywood Studios, one of my blog readers found them at Sweet Spells.  According to the Disney Parks Blog, Snacks with Character will also be available at select food and beverage locations at the Walt Disney World Resort.  This past weekend, I saw several options at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

January 1, 2017 Update

Over Christmas Break, we spent 5 days at Disneyland, which you can read about here.  While we were there, I was always on the lookout for Snacks with Character, but they were pretty hard to find.  When I found them at Downtown Disney, I noticed a Cranberry Mix that I had not seen before.  I was surprised to see that it is not gluten free, so be careful, and always read labels before buying Snacks with Character.

What Snacks with Character are you most excited to try?
