Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe Allergy-Friendly Menu - Magic Kingdom

Earlier today, we stopped at the four major quick service restaurants in the Magic Kingdom to check out their allergy-friendly menus, which list options for people with gluten/wheat, milk, egg, soy, fish/shellfish, and peanut/tree nut allergies.  We have not dined at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland since I started my blog two years ago, because when we are eating quick service at the Magic Kingdom, we usually go to Columbia Harbour House or Be Our Guest (lunch only).

Cosmic Ray's offers the following gluten free options:

  • Entrees (served with choice of french fries, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, or apple slices) - 1/3 lb Angus bacon cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon, hot dog, 1/2 rotisserie chicken
  • Desserts - allergy-friendly brownie, allergy-friendly chocolate chip cookie
  • Kids' Meals (served with choice of small lowfat milk or Dasani water, and grapes & carrots; french fries may be substituted upon request) - turkey sandwich

I hope to go back to Cosmic Ray's soon to try their rotisserie chicken with garlic mashed potatoes.

While you are dining at Cosmic Ray's, you can enjoy out of this world entertainment from Sonny Eclipse.

You can read more about Cosmic Ray's, and view their hours and menu on Disney's website here.

What are your favorite gluten free options at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe?

  1. I had a terrible experience at Cosmic Rays today. This is the one and only time I've cried at a restaurant since being diagnosed celiac 2 years ago.

My family and I arrived around 1. It was busy. No big deal, we expected that. After waiting in line for nearly 10 minutes, we finally get to an order taker. My family places their order and then I place mine. The order taker holds his hand up and snaps "what's your allergy?!" and then thrusts a gluten free menu at me. He then holds a sign up in the air, presumably to call someone else to assist me. They never arrive. Another 10 minutes goes by and my husband asks the order taker if someone is coming to help us. He barely nods and begins talking to another customer. At this point, my husband decided to flag down someone else else to help us. They could not. We waited another 10 or 15 minutes for someone *just to take our order* and frankly, he was rude as hell. He sighed numerous times, was very abrupt with his questions, and frustratingly very knowledgeable.

After all that, it was easily another 20 minutes before my whole family's order was ready and when I asked for the status, was informed that it was because of my special order. That was when I bit my tongue to keep from crying.

I will never ever go back there again. In fact, I am finding myself disgusted and dismayed with Disney dining altogether (this was our first experience, first day!) and am inspired to eat elsewhere. WDW should be ashamed.

    1. So sorry to hear you had a bad experience at Cosmic Ray's. :-( That is not typical Disney cistomer service. I recently had two bad experiences at Kona with the same server, so I talked to a manager. Thankfully, this is not the norm.

    2. Alexis, I really appreciate your reply and your blog. We are headed back to Disney next week and I've leaned on your reviews heavily in making dining selections. I'd like to mention that I was definitely glutened at Boma our last trip and will be avoiding that restaurant this trip. Thank you for what you do, it's valuable and much appreciated!
