Terra Treats - Disney's Animal Kingdom

The allergy kiosk has undergone many changes since it first opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom three years ago.  The location has moved, and the name has changed several times, and now Terra Treats is no longer an allergy kiosk, though it does still offer gluten free snacks and drinks.

When we stopped by last week, the cast member I spoke to told me that everything offered at Terra Treats is still gluten free, including the buffalo chicken wings, hummus with vegetables, and the fresh fruit cup.

They are no longer carrying Enjoy Life cookies, Udi's bagels and muffins, Kinnikinnick donuts, or products from Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC.  Several varieties of Lundberg Rice Chips are still available, and they are now selling Chirps, which are made with cricket flour.  Uh, no thank you!

Gluten free beverage options that are safe for people with celiac disease include Magners Pear Cider, Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider, and Redbridge Beer.  If you have celiac, I would skip the Omission Lager, which is a gluten-removed beer.

It did not seem like the cast members at Terra Treats were prepared to discuss allergy-friendly options around the park like they used to, but the gentleman I spoke to said he had recently found a stack of allergy-friendly menus from the quick service restaurants in Disney's Animal Kingdom in the kiosk.

Gluten-friendly options at Restaurantosaurus

They all seemed pretty up to date, except Restaurantosaurus looks to have a gluten-friendly mixed green salad with roasted chicken as a gluten-friendly option now.

Gluten-friendly options at Harambe Market

Satu'li Canteen, another quick service restaurant, recently opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Pandora, and they have gluten free options for breakfast and lunch, which you can view in my review here.

You can find my reviews of Restaurantosaurus, Flame Tree Barbecue, Harambe Market, and Satu'li Canteen on the Disney page of my blog here.

I am disappointed that Terra Treats is no longer a dedicated allergy kiosk, but I was glad to see that all of their food and drink options are still gluten free, though be careful with the Omission Lager.
