Everything POP Breakfast - Disney's Pop Century Resort

This morning, my daughters and I had breakfast at Everything POP Shopping & Dining, a quick service restaurant at Disney's Pop Century Resort.

As I mentioned in my previous breakfast review of Everything POP, having been an American History teacher for most of my 18 year teaching career, I love the lobby of the resort, and all the amazing shadow boxes filled with memorabilia from some of my favorite decades, like the 1980's.  My kids always have to drag me away from them.

I asked a cast member about gluten free options at one of the food stations in Everything POP, and very quickly Chef Jesus, who prepared my food on our last visit, came out to help me.  He asked what I would like to eat, but before I ordered, I asked if they had the new allergy-friendly menus being introduced at Disney this year, which they do.

Gluten/wheat allergy-friendly options for breakfast include: french toast or pancake bounty platter, french toast, pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, breakfast platter, Pop waffles, create-your-own omelet, breakfast sandwich, hot ham and American cheese sandwich, and the create-you-own yogurt parfait.

I ordered gluten free POP waffles with sausage and fresh fruit, while my daughters, who can eat gluten, decided on gluten free waffles with bacon.  I had hoped to talk my girls into splitting some waffles and chocolate chip pancakes, but they didn't like my plan.  The chefs at Everything POP use a mix of Namaste and Bob's Red Mill, just like at Landscape of Flavors at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  The combination of the two makes for an amazing waffle, which has earned a spot on my list of best Disney themed waffles.

The last time we had breakfast at Everything POP, I was given one very large POP waffle, but this time, Chef Jesus said they only had small POP waffles, which was fine with me.

The waffles at Everything POP were just as good as I remembered.  I started off dipping pieces of waffle in syrup, then I ate a few bites with just strawberries, then I tried a couple of bites with syrup and sausage.  My daughter Emma and I agreed that was the best way to eat them.  Next time, I am going to make a waffle sandwich with a sausage patty and a drizzle of syrup.

After I ran out of sausage, I ate my remaining waffles with strawberries.  I had such a huge amount of strawberries because my girls gave me all of theirs, which was fine with me, because they had eaten fruit before we left the house this morning.

While we were waiting for our food at Everything POP, I noticed that they carry Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC gluten free mini brownie cupcakes, OMG...It's Gluten Free Fudge Brownies, and a variety of other gluten free snacks.

I have enjoyed my last two breakfasts at Everything POP so much, I am excited to dine there for lunch or dinner soon.

On the back of the gluten/wheat allergy-friendly menu are options for people with allergies to milk, soy, egg, peanut/tree nut, and fish/shellfish.
