Cape May Cafe Breakfast - Disney's Beach Club Resort

Earlier today, I had breakfast at Cape May Cafe with my friend Sarah from Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free at WDW.  This was my first time dining there, but Sarah has had dinner at Cape May Cafe several times.

For breakfast, Cape May Cafe features character dining and an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet.

Chef Mace quickly came to our table to discuss gluten free options.  Both Sarah and I felt uncomfortable eating from the buffet because of cross contamination concerns, so he brought us food from the back.

I started my meal with gluten free Mickey waffles.  They were made with Bob' Red Mill, which is not my favorite mix for waffles at Disney, but they were cooked nicely.

Chef Mace brought me a side of caramelized bananas after I asked him if they had any fun toppings for waffles.  They were good, but I prefer the bananas foster at Boma.

After I finished my waffles, I started on my second plate of food.  I really liked Cape May's chorizo and four cheese scrambled eggs, and their breakfast potatoes, which were both super flavorful.  I also enjoyed my sausage and bacon.

My final plate of food was more of those amazing breakfast potatoes and two donut halves from Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC - Disney Springs.  I usually prefer the cinnamon sugar donuts, but today, I liked my chocolate glazed donut better.

During our Beach Bash Breakfast, Sarah and I were visited by Minnie, Goofy, and Donald, who were all dressed for a day at the beach.

Sarah and I never took a tour of the buffet with Chef Mace, which we later regretted, because we both saw some dishes we would have requested from the back.

On the buffet, there was a section with sliced salami and capicola, a variety of different cheeses, and smoked salmon.

I was not interested in the meats, cheeses, and smoked salmon, but I would have liked to have tried the black bean frittata, and the spinach & walnut salad.

Even though I ate some fruit before I left my house this morning, I should have asked what was available, because I would have enjoyed some pineapple as an end of meal palate cleanser.

Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience at Cape May Cafe, and I look forward to trying their Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet sometime soon.
