Starbucks Gluten Free Treats at Downtown Disney

Today, we stopped in at both of the new Starbucks locations at Downtown Disney, soon to be known as Disney Springs.  The larger one is located at Downtown Disney's West Side, and it is impressive.

Right away, I looked for the La Boulange Marshmallow Dream Bar and the two new certified gluten free treats that were just introduced by Starbucks this week.

I found the Marshmallow Dream Bar, which is just as good as the gluten free Rice Krispies treats I make at home.  You can read my full review of Starbucks gluten free marshmallow dream bar here.

I also spotted the flourless chewy chocolate cookies, but when I asked to see packaged cookies, they were not in the new wrapper stating that they are gluten free, so I did not purchase them.  The cookies do come wrapped in packs of two.  You can view the full ingredients list on Starbucks' website here.  As far as allergens go, they contain egg and soy.

Starbucks also introduced a new gluten free La Boulange Lemon Tea Cake this week, but I haven't been able to find it in Orlando yet.

The new Starbucks at Downtown Disney's West Side features an interactive chalkboard hooked into its counterpart in the Starbucks in Disneyland's Downtown Disney.  This location is the first Starbucks Reserve store at Disney World, with a coffee bar offering rare, small-batch coffees from around the world.  You can read more about it here on The Disney Food Blog.

There is a good amount of outdoor seating on the covered patio, and in the winter months, you can enjoy the outdoor fireplace.

Check out these water views from the patio.  I could certainly spend some quality time relaxing here.

The second new Starbucks at Downtown Disney, the Marketplace Starbucks, is a walk-up location without seating, tucked in between the two front entrances to the World of Disney store.  Like the West Side location, they had the gluten free marshmallow dream bars.  You can view their full ingredients list and nutritional information here.

Have you tried any of the new Starbucks gluten free treats?

  1. I've had this chocolate cookie at other Starbuck's locations, and I think it's pretty good. Satisfies my chocolate craving. I've had it at room temp and warmed up.
