Paradiso 37 - Disney Springs

Yesterday, we had lunch at Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas at Disney Springs.

Paradiso 37, a table service restaurant, features cuisine from North, Central and South America.

Because it is not Disney-owned and operated, Paradiso 37 does not have an allergy-friendly menu, but a chef came out to speak to me about gluten free options.

When I found out they have a dedicated fryer for their corn tortilla chips, I decided to order the house made guacamole.

The chips were warm, and perfectly salted, and the guacamole was good, but not one of the better ones I have had in a restaurant.

For an entree, I almost ordered the Brazilian cachaca marinated half chicken with lime garlic yucca fries, tomato mojo, and roasted vegetables, but I chose the grilled Chilean salmon instead.  The chef told me that they have a dedicated fryer for fries, and corn tortillas can be substituted for flour tortillas in dishes like the chicken quesadillas.

My salmon was cooked perfectly, tasted fresh, and I loved the fennel chimichurri it was served with.  My roasted vegetables, which consisted of potatoes, carrots, green beans, and zucchini, were delicious.

I was also really impressed by the cilantro rice that was served with my meal.  Overall, I would give my entree an A+, and I would definitely order it again.  My gluten-eating daughters and husband enjoyed their enchiladas, and the bacon & pineapple burger.  We passed on dessert, because the only gluten free option was sorbet.  I took my one daughter to Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC for soft serve, and my husband took the other to Vivoli Il Gelato, which are both a short walk from Paradiso 37.

Overall, we all enjoyed the food and the service at Paradiso 37, and look forward to dining there again in the future.  I had heard that they do a great job with food allergies and special diets, and I was not disappointed.

You can read more about Paradiso 37, make reservations, and view their hours and menus on Disney's website here.

What are your favorite gluten free options at Paradiso 37?
