Landscape of Flavors Lunch - Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Last week, my friend Ron and I had lunch at Landscape of Flavors, a quick service restaurant at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

Landscape of Flavors, which serves both international and American cuisine, is featured on My Disney Top 10 - Quick Service list.  I asked a cast member for an allergy-friendly menu at one of the food stations, and she said she would get a chef for us.  I was excited to see Chef Tony, who has helped me several times when I have dined at Landscape of Flavors for breakfast, which you can read about here.  He is incredibly helpful, and obviously loves his job.  We never did see an allergy-friendly menu, but Chef Tony talked to us about options at the various food stations.

Back in September, my friend Sarah from Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free at WDW shared pictures of the gluten/wheat allergy-friendly lunch/dinner menu, which lists the following entrees: create-your-own salad, Caprese sandwich, Buffalo-style turkey sandwich, tandoori chicken, shell-on-shrimp, Mahi Mahi, personal pan cheese pizza, personal pan pepperoni pizza, create-your-own pasta, chicken burger, create-your-own burger, surf and surf burger, and a vegetable burger.  Additional gluten free options are available after 4:30:  lentil-crusted Mahi Mahi, butter chicken, saffron-seafood pasta, meatloaf, salmon club sandwich, steak sandwich, and a patty melt with 1/3 lb Angus burger, sauteed mushrooms, and onions.

Landscape of Flavors has a separate menu that lists options for people with milk, egg, soy, fish/shellfish, and peanut/tree nut allergies.

I decided to order the Tandoori shell-on shrimp with sides of rice, brussels sprouts, and acorn squash.  Chef Tony offered to make me gluten free bread in place of the naan that is usually served with this entree, but I decided to pass, because I wanted a light lunch after the beignets I had for breakfast.  Landscape of Flavors never disappoints, and I really enjoyed all the food on my plate.  On past visits, I have always eaten the tandoori chicken, which you can read about here.

Ron, who eats gluten and dairy free, chose the create-your-own salad with spinach, lettuce, carrots, peppers, olives, shrimp and chicken.  He dressed it with some olive oil and lemon juice.  I was impressed with the generous portion size, and how beautiful his salad looked.  Ron said his salad was great, tasted fresh, and he appreciated that Chef Tony used clean tongs to put it together.

There are a variety of gluten free snack options at Landscape of Flavors, like Lundberg rice chips, Rocky Mountain caramel popcorn, Surf Sweets organic fruity bears, Enjoy Life chocolate chip crunchy cookies, and Snacks with Character chocolate sunseed bars.

In the refrigerated section, Landscape of Flavors usually has mini brownie cupcakes from Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC - Disney Springs, but I forgot to look for them on this visit.

You can read more about Landscape of Flavors, and view their hours and menus on Disney's website here.
