Columbia Harbour House - Magic Kingdom

Earlier today, we stopped at Columbia Harbour House, a quick service restaurant in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom, to check out their new allergy-friendly chicken tenders.

Columbia Harbour House has long been my favorite restaurant for allergy-friendly chicken tenders at Disney World, and it is featured in My Disney Top 10 - Quick Service post.  We dined there so often in the first year or two we lived in Orlando, that the managers started to recognize me when we came in.  They used to bake the chicken tenders and fries, which took about 20 minutes, but now they have a dedicated fryer, so allergy orders that are fried don't take that long to prepare.

Nomad Lounge - Disney's Animal Kingdom

Three times during our July trip to Disney World, we had lunch at Nomad Lounge in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Nomad Lounge, which does not accept advance dining reservations, serves small plates and drinks from around the world. It is located next to Tiffins, right outside of Pandora.

Gluten Free in Bologna and Venice

After spending 7 nights in Rome, and 5 nights in Florence, we headed to Venice, with a quick stop in Bologna for lunch and some sightseeing.

In Bologna, we had lunch at Fiordaliso, a 100% gluten free restaurant, pizzeria, coffee bar, and confectionery. I posted all menu photos from Fiordaliso in my Facebook group Gluten Free Italy.

Gluten Free in Tuscany - Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and Pisa

During our trip to Italy in June, we stayed in Rome, Florence, and Venice. Our Airbnb in Florence was located in the heart of the city, and had this amazing view of the Duomo from its rooftop terrace.

After dropping off our bags, we headed to Starbene Gold Gluten Free, which was about a 10 minute walk from our Airbnb.  Starbene has almost 20 locations in Italy, which you can view on their website.

Gluten Free in Rome

Yesterday, we returned from our trip to Italy. We spent 7 nights in Rome, 5 nights in Florence, 3 nights in Venice, and one night at the Rome Marriott Park Hotel near Fiumicino Airport outside of Rome. As far as food goes, our trip to Italy was completely stress free for me. I easily found safe places to eat in all the cities we visited, thanks to other gluten free bloggers, the Find Me Gluten Free app, and the AIC (Italian Celiac Association) website and app.

All of the restaurants I dined at were either 100% gluten free, or were accredited by the AIC, with the exception of one gelato shop we visited in San Gimignano on a day trip from Florence.

Gluten Free at Yosemite National Park

Over Mother's Day weekend, we visited Yosemite National Park for the first time.

Saturday morning, we ate an early breakfast at home, then drove to The Majestic Yosemite Hotel to have lunch.  We arrived an hour earlier than expected, but were disappointed that we were not seated until the time of our reservation, even though they seemed to have a lot of open tables.  While we waited, we walked around the hotel, and bought some cherries at the candy shop, which had a nice selection of gluten free snacks and sweets to choose from.

Nomad Lounge Honey-Glazed Coriander-Spiced Pork Ribs

Nomad Lounge has become our favorite restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Even before they added their amazing gluten free churros to their menu, we loved to stop in for small plates and drinks.

The honey-glazed coriander-spiced pork ribs at Nomad Lounge are some of the best ribs I have ever had, so over Thanksgiving Break, I asked our server if the chefs could share the recipe with me.  She told me that they did not have a printed recipe, but she makes them at home all the time, so I quickly wrote down the ingredients she listed, and directions for cooking the ribs.

Carthay Circle Restaurant - World of Color Dining Package

Over Christmas Break, we had lunch at Carthay Circle, a signature dining restaurant in Disney California Adventure Park.

Our lunch was booked as part of a World of Color Dining Package, so we had a three-course special menu to choose starters, entrees, and desserts from.

Lemon Scone Recipe - Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

When we lived in Orlando, we loved going to the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.

One of my favorite gluten free items at the outdoor kitchens is the lemon scone, which is available this year at the Cider House in the United Kingdom Pavilion.  It is also a dessert option at Rose & Crown, but their menu has it listed as a no sugar added dessert.
