Stacks - Campbell, California

This weekend, we had brunch at Stacks in Campbell, California with friends. The reviews on the Find Me Gluten Free app were all positive, so I was excited to try it.

Their gluten free menu is extensive, but right away, I narrowed in on their gluten free Belgian waffles. It is hard to find safe gluten free waffles outside of Disney World or Disneyland, so I was excited to try them.

Our server told me that they have a dedicated waffle iron for gluten free waffles, and gluten free entrees are served on square plates.

I ordered a bacon waffle, because everything is better with bacon, and sides of 100% maple syrup and sausage. I don't think anyone would have ever guessed that this was a gluten free waffle from the taste and texture, and it was so big, I had a hard time finishing it. The sausage at Stacks was some of the best I have ever had, and I enjoyed it dipped in my maple syrup, because I believe that all breakfast meats should be eaten with syrup.

My husband loved his gluten-filled bacon waffle so much, he wants to go back for brunch before we fly to Disney World next Saturday. Stacks had a line out the door when we arrived at 10:00 am, which I understand after eating there. For parties of 6 or more, which thankfully we had, you can make a reservation, so take some friends. They have another location in Redwood City, California.

September 2, 2018 Update

Yesterday, we had breakfast at Stacks for the third time since moving to California. The hostess who seated us mentioned that the triple berry waffle was her favorite, so I decided to try it. I love Stacks' bacon waffle, but this is my new favorite. The whipped cream and fresh berries were the perfect waffle toppings.

I also ordered a side of bacon with maple syrup to dip it in. We all loved our waffles so much, I know we will be back soon. We arrived around 8:30, and only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated.

What are your favorite gluten free options at Stacks?
