Hotto Potto - Orlando

A couple of weeks ago, we had dinner with our school's international students and their host families at Hotto Potto on Semoran Boulevard near Baldwin Park.  They also have a restaurant on Aloma Avenue in Winter Park.

I don't particularly love dining at restaurants without a gluten free menu, but the employee I spoke to before we were seated was very knowledgeable about gluten free options.

Hotto Potto is a Chinese hot pot restaurant where you cook your own food in a broth, and top it with a variety of house made sauces.  I had my own menu, which I marked "gluten free" at the top, and my own hot pot for cooking my food.

I originally marked that I wanted rice noodles, but was told that only the taro noodles are gluten free.

I also chose chicken slices, pork slices, jumbo shrimp, and broccoli.

The chicken and pork were very tender, and cooked up nicely in my broth.

My basket of broccoli was huge, so I shared some with the other people sitting at our table.

Almost all of the broths at Hotto Potto are gluten free.  I ended up choosing the rice broth, medium spicy.

It definitely added some heat to my food, which I balanced with Hotto Potto's amazing sweet chili sauce.

My favorite menu items were the taro noodles and the shrimp, but I enjoyed everything I ate at Hotto Potto.

You can read more about Hotto Potto on their website here.

What are your favorite gluten free options at Hotto Potto?
