In my third installment of Gluten Free Around the Epcot World Showcase, I am going to be looking at gluten free snacks at the China Pavilion.
Nina, our Chinese international student, was excited to check out the House of Good Fortune.
I was pretty surprised to find three varieties of Chimes Ginger Chews, and they were all labeled gluten free.
Being a huge fan of Gin Gins, and ginger in general, I purchased Chimes orange and mango ginger chews for us to try. The orange were definitely my favorite of the two, though I enjoyed them both.
Chimes ginger chews do not contain any additives or preservatives, and the ingredients list is pretty simple - cane sugar, ginger, tapioca starch, and natural orange flavor/ mango flavor/peppermint oil.
I didn't purchase the peppermint, because I am not a huge fan of anything with mint, but we all liked the orange ginger chews so much, I would definitely buy them again.
Last year, we did dine at Nine Dragons Restaurant for the first time ever, but I would not eat there again, because of how limited their gluten free options were. I tried to find a picture of my meal, but had no success, and if memory serves right, it was the only option I was given. I recall it being a chicken dish with vegetables and white sauce. It was good, but not worth a return visit.
Have you found any gluten free options at the China Pavilion at Epcot?
Have you been back since this post? Anything new GF there?
ReplyDeletePeter - Not sure. I have been back since this post, but I do not recall what they had.
